Last week , i went for a customized medical facial treatment at Aeon Medical and Aesthetics Centre by Dr Kim. The facial treatment is unlike those at beauty salons or spas. Dr Kim does a thorough and scientific assessment of my skin and then customized the steps according to my skin type. All along he also kept in mind what was my major concern before he instructed his aestheticians what to do.

My major concerns were tired looking eyes and brightening. I love it when my skin looks radiant and dewy.  Also , my freckles are my major concern. I really can’t wait to remove it in August.

I worked till late night and slept for few hours a day which caused my eyes to look really tired . So last week , the treatment was concentrated on my tired looking eyes.

Before the treatment starts , Elena cleansed off my make up and a Korean head massage so that i feel relaxed. I wonder what make up remover or cleanser the clinic used because it removes my eye make up really fast and clean without any tugging on my eyelids.

After cleansing my face , a pack was applied on my skin and nose area.

15 minutes after the pack was applied on my face, Elena used the ultrasonic scrubber blade which vibrates and helps to remove the blackheads and whiteheads on my nose area without injuring the skin like many other spa shops do. The process is painless and gentle. It also helps to remove the dead cells and unclog your pores. As you know, our nose area are prone to open pores and tends to be clogged and become whiteheads.

 

 

Elena concentrated on my nose area before moving on to the rest of my face.

This treatment not only removes whiteheads and unclog your pores but also gives you a brightened skin tone.

After this step , Elena gave me another round of Korean head massage before cleansing off the remaining pack on my face.

Due to my busy week , i looked really tired so tired looking eyes are one of my main concerns. A cold crystal rod (made of crystal from Ice Mountain in Switzerland) was used to massage around my eyes and temples gently which has a soothing and calming effect. It helps to reduce the puffiness of the eyebags and eye tiredness. It is totally safe and small enough to get to all areas surrounding the eyes that can be sensitive using other machines.

This process is really soothing and calm that i fell asleep.

To reduce my dark eye circles and puffiness of eyebags from the lack of sleep , a cream was applied on my under eye area and a sonophoresis handpiece was used to massage around my eyes. The device was small enough to be precise and reach all areas around the eye just as the crystal. It produces a little bit of heat and it helps to reduce wrinkles , fine lines and puffiness of eye bags. More importantly, it also opens up the skin to allow the cream enter deeper into the skin. This increases the effect of the products used on the skin. The process is painless and soothing actually.

As you can see from the picture below , my skin looks clean, clear and dewy.

For radiant skin , a vitamin serum were massaged onto my face. The serum was in a glass ampule so I was sure it was just for me.

The fluid was slowly released and dripped onto my skin while another device was used to gently massage on my face so that the vitamin serum can be absorbed into my skin efficiently.

Remaining vitamin serum was massaged onto my skin. Elena performed the Korean facial massage on my face for better absorption. The serum was also massage on my lips.

Elena’s massage skill is really good and i really like that.

Facial massage is really important in helping your skin to better absorb the products you applied. It is not just about “slapping” it on and rub all over your face. Proper and right technique massage actually helps in your facial skin blood circulation for a brightened and radiant skin.

Elena also massaged my neck and shoulders with the vitamin serum. Facial care is not just about your face but it also should be stretch out to your neck and shoulders.

At the last step , a lavender modelling mask pack was applied on my skin. The lavender extract helps to rejuvenate and relax my skin. It also has brightening effect. The mask is cooling and really relaxing. The mask was also applied onto my lips.

It was so relaxing that i fell asleep. After 20 minutes , Elena took the mask off which reveals a brightened and radiant looking skin.

Moisturizer and sunblock was later applied and massaged on my skin.

Elena gently massage and spread the AEON sunblock on my skin.

After 1.5 hours , the customized medical facial treatment ended and i woke up with brightened , radiant and dewy skin. After the treatment , i went to the powder room to put on my eyeliner and lipstick . I need not apply any foundation or bases after the treatment. I realized that my lips look really healthy and moisturized after the treatment too.

And below is a picture of me taken 1 week after my jawline Botox and 1 day after the above customized medical facial treatment done at Aeon Medical and Aesthetics Clinic. My jawline is visibly sharpened. It is advisable for you to consult the doctor before going for Botox treatment.  I learned that it is not for everyone because some people’s square jaws are not due to the muscles but the bone shape. These people I am told will not benefit as much from the Botox injection.
