K-beauty time !
The eyelash extensions i did in Busan is really BEST and i love it. I did it in Seomyeon. The shop has no website , no facebook or anything. So i can’t tell you how to go there and the address is in Korean. Sorry !
If i can find an eyelash extension salon doing it at the same price and quality as the ones in Korea ( KRW 30,000) which is abut SGD 35 , i will go for it every month liao. But in SG , it is very expensive and i can only do on special occasions like my birthday and CNY or Vday.
I always wanted to do when i travelled to Korea last time but didn’t get to do it because it will take 2 hours and not everyone will wait for me for 2 hours. But Oppa dropped me off at the eyelash studio and he went a nearby to the indoor baseball batting cage to practice his batting while i had my eyelash extensions and eyelash perming done. I was too sick and there was nothing i can do except to sleep and lie on the bed ( I have been traveling since i was young and this was the first time i was admitted to the hospital overseas. Will blog about the experience of being admitted to a Korean hospital ) .The eyelash studio is just conveniently located right opposite our house
These 2 pictures below were taken on the day right after the eyelash extensions and lash perming were done.
PIcture below :
3 weeks later and was yesterday .
Pardon for the messy hair and back ground for these 2 pictures. I just woke up lah and all taken in the my bf’s room in Korea and my room for the picture below.
Still very dense , curled and thick. I think only dropped 2-3 strands so far ( that i found them on my cheeks ). Usually the ones i did in SG dropped off within 2 weeks ( like 75% of the lashes dropped off and left a few pathetic strands ). Im still finding reliable , good and cheaper ones in SG. I like the one my Korean make up artist Yoona Han did for me but she doesn’t do eyelash extensions anymore 😦
After the end of this week will be the 4th week since i did my eyelash extensions in Korea. Let’s see how long it can last.
Felt abit “sian” of my hair so i decided to go for a change. I cut my fringe K-style.
I hesitated for about 2-3 months before i decided to snip it off on Monday by a K-stylist at Novena recommended by Dr Kim from Aeon Aesthetics and Medical Clinic.
See through bangs is the IN thing now . Why didn’t i cut it in Busan ? Well , the price is almost the same lah. About $10 for a fringe cut but maybe $2 lesser in Korea. Anyway i get it done by a K-stylist in SG. So same same right.
I asked for “see-through bangs” and aegyo hair at the sides ( longer fringe at the sides ). I cut bangs before back in 2013 but it was straight thick bangs without side aegyo hair and i look abit “manly” when i tie up my hair. The side aegyo hair adds a little femininity to the look. Looks better when you curl the aegyo hair .
So where did i get my inspiration from ?
My 2 favorite actresses – Song Hye Gyo and Shin Min-ah .
You see how they have longer side fringe ( aegyo hair ) ? Looks more feminine right ?
The see-through-bangs are supposed to be slightly longer and looks better. It is supposed to be over your eye brows so you can side sweep it too. “Block” or “section” them together when you comb and spread some out on the parts which can see your forehead so that it looks “translucent”. Just like the ones on Song Hye Gyo and Shin Min Ah.
Bangs look nice and chic but a hassle because i have to blow dry it straight down after shower. Also , it looks very messy after i woke up. I have to bring a velcro roller out and keep it in my make up pouch with an ‘ah lian’ comb because when it gets a little windy or humid , the fringe looks very messy or sticks to my forehead. When i was in Korea, i saw girls curling their fringe with the velcro roller when they eating in cafes or restaurants or they do in the toilet like it is normal and nobody stares or said anything. But in when i took out my roller yesterday to curl it in the toilet because the weather was really too humid and it stuck to my forehead , i attracted alot of stares and i was afraid of being ‘stomped’ . LOL. That is one thing i wanna blog about – Beauty culture and influence and what makes me go in Korean beauty products.
