Busan Day 6 – Self Time «

Some time to myself…

Every trip to Korea, i will go out for day by myself…alone..doing my own shopping, coffee and cakes, nuaing at cafe (watching dramas) or working in cafes..

So i recreated this Konglish word (English+Korean) called “Self-Time”. Now my MIL and hubs know what i meant if i mentioned “self time”. We only go back for 2 weeks once or twice a year. So every trip is a busy trip. From settling hub’s insurances premiums, banking stuff ( i don’t understand why every year he has to go to the bank to settle his bank card…now i know why liao..he never KEEP his card properly EVERYTIME he go back..either lost or what lah..even his ID also..so EVERY YEAR we have to remake it ) -_-

Everyday i will wake up at 8am , have breakfast…then MIL will cook lunch and we had lunch again lol 2 hours after our breakfast. Then we will run our errands together till night. Because hubs will meet his friends at night and i will go along also. So i don’t really have time on my own.

So my self time is always at Seomyeon. Somewhere im familiar with and near home.

Hubs will also meet me there afterwards for dinner.

Busan main shopping area is at Seomyeon and Nampodong. I prefer Seomyeon because it is more cozy and easy to go from one shop to another. Nampodong shops are all flagships size..so if i miss one thing and want to go back , i have to go back a long way.

My first stop is at Lotte Department store in Seomyeon main branch.

At there , i will have my favourite MOON TOAST !

So yummmss! I must have it every time im there. Have my toast, a sip of coffee and watch the crowd.

At Level 7 , there are my favourite accessories and clothings store.

Acc:scent is one of my favourite accessories shop for earrings. Because they are so pretty and cheap ! $7 per pair and so chioooo ! Acc:scent can be found in most Lotte Dept Store or their standalone boutique.

Then i still go to Vely Vely to look at the their cosmetics. Their clothing selections at Lotte Dept Seomyeon is very small. So i will go to the Lotte Town Outlet or GwangBok Lotte Dept Store (Nampodong) or Shinsaegae Centum City (near Haeundae) to look at their clothings selection because they are very very big.

Imvely is one of my favourite Korean brands. They ship overseas too but i find their clothings too exp. And the price def if USD and KRW is so diff. So it is much more worth it and cheaper through the Korean site and deliver to Korea.

I love their clothes..it is very much of my style !! The colours especially ! I follow them on instagram too.

Imvely is the brand for clothing and Vely Vely is their cosmetic brand name.

7th floor is my favourite because there are alot of my favourite Korean online shop brands’ brick and mortar stores . My favourites are TWEE , ROMI STORY , NANING9 , IMVELY. They are the more popular ones. But if you want to go to the bigger stores , it will be at GwangBok Lotte Dept Store (Nampodong) or Shinsaegae Centum City (near Haeundae). Nampodong is a must go place in Busan because Jagalchi Fish Market , Gamcheon Cultural Village , Bookstore alley and Bupyeong Market/Kkang Tong Market are just parallel to each other. So alighting at Nampo station , Jagalchi station , Gwangbok station makes no difference because these tourist attractions places are just parallel to each other. Just like our Orchard to Somerset and Dhoby gaut. If you want to start from the head to the tail , i will suggest to alight at Gwangbok Station. You can shop at the Lotte first , then continue down the Nampodong street to shop for your sports wear , cosmetics at Etude, Innisfree etc , Olive Young , Lalavla, Lohbs , Arituam and other flagship stores.

Super comfy and lasting okay…i wore it for a year plus already and still solid and never spoil. So COMFY ! Their shop is really crazy..alot of pple and sometimes have to queue to get in. GO early in the morning and be the first few to be there. Else by evening , most sizes are gone. Common sizes like 240,245,250 very fast out of stock !

You can buy from gmarket. They do ship to SG.

After my shopping at the 7th floor , i will go to 6th floor…my usual floral cafe to have a cup of coffee and tea while i watch my shows before continuing my shopping further down at the Seomyeon Underground Shopping Mall.

Definitely must go to Olive Young to get my mask, skin care and cosmetics !

Korean cosmetics are good and works for me. Plus they are cheap! I usually stock up for a year since i go back once a year. And 1 yr stock up cost me about $600 to $800 max including masks and sleeping packs depending on the brands i buy. I changed SGD $1000 each trip and all go to skincare, make up and toiletries like toothpastes and pans for cooking.

Besides Olive Young, http://www.oliveyoung.co.kr/store/main/main.do , you can also go to Lalavla and LOHBS. LOHBS is under Lotte brand. Lalavla is quite new. But i don’t really go there though. At most i go to LOHBS but i go to Olive Young more because of the wide selections and im a member so can get discounts and rebates.

I feel that OLIVE YOUNG updates and carries the MOST IN and NEWEST items. I follow the on instag. So whenever there are new brands, new make up/skincare/masks in the market , i will be updated also. Or if there are any upcoming sales.
