After shopping in Taobao for 2 years , i think my chinese improved alot. So some of my friends asked me how to find this or that in chinese. Most commonly asked ones are :

“Pleated Skirts” – 百折半身裙 like the one i got below for work at RMB 69 (SGD 14).

*ps..the orange one is really pretty piece.

35949761

“High Waist Wide Leg Pants” –  高腰阔裤 ( the one i got below at RMB 99 which is about SGD 20) . Comes with removable belt somemore.

Im not a taobao pro but will be glad to share what i know cos i received alot of enquiries on that from friends also.

I tried to click SHARE LINK button but it was not working and i am unable to share the URL. Did someone encounter the same problem as me ? Alternatively , you can save the pictures and under the search bar , you will see a camera side (below) , click on the camera sign button and you can load pictures from your gallery or take pictures to find the items you want in Taobao. That is one feature im really very amazed with taobao. I buy from taobao for quite a while already and i just got to know about this only half a year ago. You can save pictures of any clothings you find online (whether is it from online shops , magazines or posters etc ) in your phone gallery and load it up to find in taobao. Or you can take pictures of the things you want to buy and find them in taobao.

*By the way, the Taobao shop i buy the coat from is 彩虹姐妹 .

Btw , i went to rebond my hair and cut Korean style airy fringe. My friend’s Korean fiance cut for me. My hubs only allow me to cut my fringe in Korean salon cos he trust that Korean salon can achieve that look.  The airy fringe with aegyo hair at the side. My friend’s fiance (Edward Kim Yongjae) do teach some of the hair stylists and hold seminars for hair stylists in some major salons in Orchard road to teach them how to cut Korean style. Instead of going to others who were taught by the master, why now go straight to the master himself to cut ? My hubby also went to cut his hair with Yongjae oppa.

20161206_182022_mr1481021041267 c360_2016-12-06-18-29-04-996_mr1481021440129

c360_2016-12-06-18-31-45-595_mr1481021009134

So when i tie my hair up , there will be these 2 aegyo fringe at the side like the one below :

7c2542fc65df9056c126631e9569cec4

Compare to the previous fringe i cut , i like this one the best.

Because i can hide the airy fringe under my hair on days when i don’t want to have “fringe” and i just have to sweep it back to the middle if i want. So it is very flexible. If you wonder how come some K-actresses suddenly have bangs and sometimes don’t have ? That is because of a certain Korean style cutting technique.

As you can see from the picture on the left , i swept and hide my fringe one side. Whereas on the right , i let it out. So airy fringe is pretty versatile if you go for the right cut.

pt2016_12_06_19_33_08_mh1481024013698

If you want to go for Korean cut , you can go to Dusol Beauty @ Raffles City Level 3 and look for Edward Kim YongJae. You have to call the salon 6338 4424 to book an appointment with him.

Have fun shopping or go for a hair cut !

Busan : Where to go and eat

Day 4 , 5  , 6 and 7 in Busan, South Korea.

Here we go !

I came back weighing 54kg. OMG . I went there with my luggage weighing 15kg and came back with almost 30kg because it was filled with food and my skincare stock ups as well as my friends’ stuff which they asked me to help them to buy.

One thing i absolutely looked forward to was the BBQ. I can eat till my heart content and the price was not expensive and the meat were sooo yummy and fresh.

Here we are at one popular BBQ place in Seomyeon , Busan. The place where the talk about marriage started.

The place was huge and really spacious. There are private rooms , traditional floor seatings or table seatings. The decors and interiors are so nice. The toilets are even nicer. I kinda enjoy the toilet tours in big shopping malls like Shinsaegae and big restaurants like this. They looked so grand , bigger and better than some 5 star hotels’ toilets.  The interior decors for the make-up area are baroque style.

oDSC02057A DSC02058A DSC02060A DSC02061A

The name of the restaurant.

DSC02065A

After BBQ , Koreans usually have cold noodles or rice.

Oppa’s mum ordered rice whereas both of us had cold noodles and one of them was the North Korean cold noodles.

Saw a couple of restaurants serving North Korean food. Wanted to try but maybe next time. Saw the menu and food looks almost similar to South Korean food.

DSC02066A DSC02067A

After our lunch , we went to Seomyeon and that’s when the shopping started. I got only some new make up products ( which i will review soon once i started using them for almost a week. Can’t tell if a product is good after 1 try. Will need a week for me to see if it is good or not ). Didn’t get alot because i know i will be going back again in 7 mths’ time and they will change the packaging and improve their products frequently. So there is no need for massive stock up therefore i just get what i need only. Haha and most of the bulk of the make up buys belong to my friends. Their shopping lists are longer than mine.

I really love Seomyeon . Not because of the shopping but because it is quite a hip place and you can find both expensive and cheap things around easily. To the left of our apartment , you can find wet markets , mountains, cheap and nice food. To the right , is the hip place with all the shoppings , make ups , beauty , bars , food , cafes , supermarkets , aesthetics and plastic surgery clinics and departmental stores. Right infront is a departmental store and i can see people eating yummy buffets everyday in the mall when i do laundry at the balcony. Very convenient. There are 5 aritaums and many other brands just opposite our studio apartment that’s why i have no problem buying stuff for my friends. Also Lotte Department store and hotel are just 1 street away.

Oppa’s hometown is in Haeundae , Busan South Korea. Haeundae is a popular beach place and flooded with tourists and Koreans during summer because of its long coasts and beaches. And the world’s largest department store Shinsaegae is just nearby. Seafood restaurants , bars , chill out cafes and pubs everywhere in Haeundae. It is only 15 minutes drive from Seomyeon. Love these 2 places.

Well on Day 6 , we had Kimchi jiggae at the restaurant right below our apartment. Nice and cheap. I like the concept too.

DSC02095A

DSC02105A

There is a free flow self-help egg corner where you can fry omelette , scramble eggs or sunny side ups or whatever you want to do. Salt , pepper , oil and ketchup or mustard sauces were provided too.You will see this sign “SELF” in most Korean restaurants or petrol stations. It means self-service and it also means free flow also in restaurants.

Hehe i fried 4 omelette rolls and 1 sunny side up.

DSC02084A

Our Kimchi jiggae hotpot. So yummmz !

DSC02086A

Our pot of rice.

DSC02091A  DSC02098A

Our bill came up to KRW 13,000 for 2 pax. Which is approx SGD 14 for 2 pax. Damn cheap right ? Just take a lift down to 2nd floor and we can enjoy yummy food.

DSC02100A

Korean drip coffee.

If you travel to Korea and had meals in restaurants , you will often see a coffee machine near the entrances. They are free of charge and are for their customers. Some Korean restaurants in SG do also provide the free coffees but quite rare.

DSC02101A

One interesting concept i like about this Korean Kimchi jiggae restaurant was that the rice are free flow too and you get an entire pot from the rice cooker . Lol. It is a “SELF” corner too.

DSC02102A DSC02103A

DSC02104

I have been taking the lift up to our apartment so many times since April and i didnt know there is an Amore Pacific office branch just right at the 4th floor of our building . I didnt know it until the lift door opened at the 4th floor because i pressed the lift button wrongly. Heh..it means buying my Hera and Sulwhasoo is so much easier now eh ???

DSC02106A

Oh i always go to this restaurant that serves Jjim Ddak (Steam Soya Sauce Chicken) whenever i miss Singapore local home cooked food. It tastes like the chinese version and it is soo nice when served with sweet potato clear noodles.

DSC02108A

Actually cooking Korean food can be easy if you know how to mix the sauce well and accurately. Oppa’s mother made Yangnyeom pork ribs and they tasted so good. Very easy , she just mixed the sauce for us in a bottle and we just throw in these ribs and fry with the sauce. I just managed to learn the recipes and how to mix different kind of sauces.

DSC02109A  DSC02111A

So yummy and i really have to master how to mix the sauces well.

That pork rib was for our lunch and here’s what we had for dinner after meeting his friends.

We spent most of our time in Seomyeon and Haeundae. His hometown was in Haeundae , Busan South Korea. Haeundae , Nampodong , Seomyeons etc are like towns or districts in Busan. Same as Myeongdong , Gangnam , Hongdae etc in Seoul.

So we spent most of our time meeting his friends in Haeundae and Seomyeon during the day and sometimes at night for drinks since he only get to see them twice a year when he goes back.

So we had Tonkatsu for dinner. Tonkatsu was very cheap and only 7500KRW per pax. I seriously need to exercise more soon because i have been eating so much and gaining so much weight !

DSC02116A DSC02117A DSC02118A DSC02119A

On Day 7 , i went for my C curl perming. Initially , i wanted to go to Hwamiju in Seomyeon but hmm someone was lazy to walk there ( 10 minutes walk ) so we ended up at Juno Hair in Seomyeon which was just 2 minutes walk from our apartment.

I love getting my hair done in Korea because of the prices and services provided. Salons are spacious and the staff attended to their customers very fast. They will say sorry even if they made me waited for 2 minutes because he dropped the towel and he has to get a new one for me. Koreans don’t like to wait i realized. Alot of my friends complained that the cashiers in SG and staff in SG salons worked too slowly that’s why queuing and waiting time are always that long in SG.

I remembered having my hair dyed , volume rebonded , cut and wash all in 2-2.5 hours . I realized sometimes in SG , i was made to wait because the stylist was attending to other customers at the same time and i have to lie that i have something on so that they can work on me faster and put me as priority. Time is precious and i don’t like to sit there for 4 hours just for something that can be done in 2 hours.

DSC02120A

While conditioning my hair , i was served tea and light snacks ( you can even ask for instant cup noodles if you haven’t had your meal ) and was given a crescent shape pillow for me to rest my arms and magazines. The cushion made everything comfy instead of having to bend my neck down to read the magazine or holding it up at a weird angle. You can put this cushion on the chair while getting your hair cut too. It will curve around your chair because of its crescent shape and it makes reading easier. You can also rest your arm comfortably.

DSC02121A DSC02122A

Perming starts.

DSC02123A

Final touch up and trimming. Because i was the curls to look natural and slightly wavey.

DSC02127A
DSC02131A DSC02133A DSC02134A

Price tag for perming : KRW 120,000 which is approx SGD 130. I want to talk about maintaining C curls and i will blog about it later and separately.

Sunday , 27th Sept was Chu Seok( Thanksgiving day) and i wanted to buy Eu Yan Sang (bird nests) but can’t bring it into Korea. I brought them in before and they were confiscated at the Korea airport customs. Hmmm it was considered as livestock.

So i ordered from some Korean shopping sites and bought for his mum this set.

During Thanksgiving , Koreans give gifts such as traditional snacks , shampoos and food as gifts. Just like our Mooncake festival , we give out mooncakes and traditional snacks.

DSC02136A DSC02138A DSC02140A DSC02141A

It comes with traditional silk scarf wrapping too.

Yay , i managed to wrap it up nicely !

After which , we went to Haeundae to meet his friends for dinner. His friend owned this restaurant so we get to eat alot of yummy food. This is considered first round and after that we went for 2nd and 3rd rounds at different places respectively. Initially i was amazed how Koreans can talk , eat and drink from dinner till early morning. After experiencing it for the past 2 years , i got used to it and kinda enjoy it because the food are always good and so much to eat , learn , talk and listen. That’s how i improve my Korean too. But usually i got tired after the 2nd round and started stoning at the 3rd round.

   DSC02151A DSC02155A

That sums up our day before Chu Seok ( Thanksgiving Day ).

Shall update again , getting late and i need to put on my moisture mask ! LOL.

Now that im not modeling for my own online shop , it is time to take good care of my hair. Constant styling dried up my hair. Kinda disappointment when i went to Korea in March hoping to get C-curls done but i couldn’t because of my bad hair condition. The ends were damaged and i have to cut off at least 5 inches if i want to go for C curls.

Whenever my friends are going to Korea, they will message me for hair salons recommendation because i always get my hair done there ( cut , wash , dye and hair treatment ). Prices there are very cheap actually. Cheaper than any salons in shopping malls and their services are impeccable.

Like the one i went in March – Hwamiju Hair Salon. When i walked in , a staff greeted me and gave me the “hair menu” when i asked for it. I told them what i wanted to do which was C-curl perm (and my bf’s mother insisted to the staff and asked for the salon’s top and head stylist to evaluate my hair because she doesn’t want anyone to do my hair just like that. She knows that for good curls , you need to have good hair condition ) . The lady lead us to a wating area where there is a huge sofa , coffee table and magazine . A lady asked if im hungry and what drinks i want. She brought alot of snacks and coffee for us because i told her i was quite hungry. Another lady brought me to a nice locker room to keep my belongings and passed me the key. She then helped me with a robe. And i went back to my seat to have my coffee and snacks . She put a pillow on my lap so that i do not need to strain my neck when i read the magazines. Then she brought me to one of the seats and the head stylist started evaluating my hair and concluded that my ends were damaged so i can’t get it done 😦  Either i have to cut 5 inches ( which is long bob hair ) or maybe just next time.

Then , another lady brought me back to my sofa so i can continue my coffee , snacks and magazines while waiting for my bf to cut his hair. Their services are great. I had my hair dyed , treated , cut , wash and blow before. The hair stylist stayed with me from start to end. The only time i have to wait was to wait for her to bring her tools or serums etc.

Whereas in SG , some salons tried to maximize profit and allocated 3 customers to one stylist within the same time slot. I ever had an experience where a simple and basic hair cut , dye , treatment , wash and blow took 5 hours from lunch till almost dinner time.

I remember i have to wait 20 minutes for the stylist to check my hair after the shampoo lady finished applying the hair dye. And then another 20 minutes after washing the dye off before confirming with the shampoo lady what treatment for me and another 20-30 minutes after the treatment wash or stylist to come and another 15 minutes for stylist to come after shampoo lady dry my hair for the stylist to do the final touch up. Spent almost 2 hours waiting for nothing when all could be done in just mere 2-2.5 hrs. Total took 5 hours.

My hair cut , dye , wash , cut and treatment took only 2.5 hours in Korea.

Some of my friends told me they went to some salons in Gangnam and were charged more than $400 for a perm. Well, some salons target tourists and they price it very high. Or you go to those super high end ones then yes maybe it can be very expensive but for a popular local salon chain it should not be that expensive because i was never quoted for that kind of high price. I was quoted only KRW 120,000 for hair dye , 4 steps treatment , cut , wash and blow at a popular local salon chain and KRW 80,000 for C-curl perm at Hwamiju for my hair length and my friend went there for s-curl perm and paid only KRW 120,000. The prices were from the “hair menu”. Perhaps when you go into the salon , instead of asking for price , ask for the menu instead so that you can see the prices yourself. But of cos , some menu are only in Korean so if you can’t understand or read, it will be abit of a challenge. My bf’s mum told me that perms are not very expensive in Korea because alot of people do C-curls or S-curls which are very common and normal.

I got this from Korean internet Naver.com for you guys. But im not sure if this is the updated price list or not ( The source was dated 2013) . So you have to ask to confirm the price again because it depends on your hair conditions , length and what kind of perm you want to do. This is just a guide okay and gives you a rough gauge of the price.

Hwamiju is a popular and good hair salon and has alot of chains. My bf’s m0ther recommended this one to me and im super impressed with the service  ( though i can’t get my hair perm done ).

Perm

First column reflects normal price and 2nd column ( which is the cheaper pricing are local student price ).

Normal perm – KRW 77,000

Fringe Perm – KRW 16,500 ( good for people with fringe and hate to curl your hair or blow your hair everyday after shower . You see Kpop boy bands with perm and curly fringe ? Yup that’s how they do it. They perm it )

Texture perm , Setting perm , Ceramic perm – KRW 88,000

The most expensive one KRW 209,000 is Volume Magic and Setting Perm.

Some people do volume magic at the top part of their hair and setting perm at the bottom. Volume magic is a kind of rebonding which doesn’t flatten your hair like those normal rebonding. The first impression on rebonding is that you will end up with hair that is so flat that sticks to your face. But nope .. i had it done before and this kind of rebonding actually adds volume while keeping your hair straight and doesn’t flatten your hair.

So , im super determined to get my perms done.

So i need to maintain and get it treated right ?
So during my trip to Korea, i went to buy my 6 steps hair care from Mise-en-scène .

It was a last minute buy just the night before i flew back to SG. I wanted to buy Daenggi moori and another good brand but i couldnt find it at Lotte Mart so i got this cheaper one instead since 2 shampoo + 1 condition is going at a promotional price of KRW 10,000. So i got another 2 tubes of treatment , 2 repair hair oil and 1 hair essence under the same PEARL SHINING RANGE. I love this shampoo because of the smell and it doesnt dry up my hair.

miseenscene_1

And i got these 2 too from Olive and Young. I bought 10 packs home. They cost KRW3,900 and KRW 4,500 respectively.

These are hair steam pack .When you go to salon for hair treatment , they coat your hair with some serums or hair oil and steam your hair right ? Now there is the DIY version in Korea, just apply the hair serum/oil (which is included in the pack) and wear the hair cap that was given. You will slowly feel the heat in the cap. Wash off after 20 minutes.

The first one was from Mise En Scene. It is 2 steps treatment. Step 1 , tear open the bottom orange portion and spread the treatment cream on your hair and massage. And then tear the step 2 part where the cap was. Wear the hair cap , fasten it and massage your scalp. You will slowly feel abit of heat and then just wait for 15 minutes before you rinse it off and condition your hair. I tried this and my hair comes out very smooth and smells soooo nice. I do this treatment before i go out so that my hair looks really nice before i go out. Easy to comb , blow and curl with hair curler. Smooth and nice. Cost KRW 3,900 at Olive and Young but it is cheaper in Lotte Mart ( KRW 3,000).

20150331_154934

This was from Mediheal and cost KRW 4,900 at Olive and Young. I cant find it at Lotte Mart. Mediheal has nice and good facial and eye masks too which are available at Olive and Young. I bought their eye patch masks and i love it. I didnt know they have hair steam packs too.

This one is abit different from the one on top. This is just 1 step. The hair cream is already in the cap. So you just need to wear the cap , fasten it and massage your hair and scalp. The heat from this pack is stronger than the one from Mise En Scene. The heat from the Mise En Scene steam pack not that strong but this one i can feel the heat on my scalp. Results also come out with smoother and manageable hair. It smells really good too ! After 15 minutes , just wash off and then condition your hair.

20150331_154954

These are hair saviors because my hair was very dry due to constant styling during shoots. I have been using these for 2 months and so far so good.

Im gonna get my Daenggi Moori shampoos next time.

More K-beauty and K-food in a couple of days – Facials and Food !

*Edited and added more content because i accidentally published the post after writing and editing half way..

K-beauty time !

The eyelash extensions i did in Busan is really BEST and i love it. I did it in Seomyeon. The shop has no website , no facebook or anything. So i can’t tell you how to go there and the address is in Korean. Sorry !

If i can find an eyelash extension salon doing it at the same price and quality as the ones in Korea ( KRW 30,000) which is abut SGD 35 ,  i will go for it every month liao. But in SG , it is very expensive and i can only do on special occasions like my birthday and CNY or Vday.

I always wanted to do when i travelled to Korea last time but didn’t get to do it because it will take 2 hours and not everyone will wait for me for 2 hours. But Oppa dropped me off at the eyelash studio and he went a nearby to the indoor baseball batting cage to practice his batting while i had my eyelash extensions and eyelash perming done. I was too sick and there was nothing i can do except to sleep and lie on the bed ( I have been traveling since i was young and this was the first time i was admitted to the hospital overseas. Will blog about the experience of being admitted to a Korean hospital ) .The eyelash studio is just conveniently located right opposite our house

These 2 pictures below were taken on the day right after the eyelash extensions and lash perming were done.

PIcture below :

3 weeks later and was yesterday .

Pardon for the messy hair and back ground for these 2 pictures. I just woke up lah and all taken in the my bf’s room in Korea and my room for the picture below.

Still very dense , curled and thick. I think only dropped 2-3 strands so far ( that i found them on my cheeks ). Usually the ones i did in SG dropped off within 2 weeks ( like 75% of the lashes dropped off and left a few pathetic strands ). Im still finding reliable , good and cheaper ones in SG.  I like the one my Korean make up artist Yoona Han did for me but she doesn’t do eyelash extensions anymore 😦

share

After the end of this week will be the 4th week since i did my eyelash extensions in Korea. Let’s see how long it can last.

Felt abit “sian” of my hair so i decided to go for a change. I cut my fringe K-style.

I hesitated for about 2-3 months before i decided to snip it off on Monday by a K-stylist at Novena recommended by Dr Kim from Aeon Aesthetics and Medical Clinic.

See through bangs is the IN thing now . Why didn’t i cut it in Busan ? Well , the price is almost the same lah. About $10 for a fringe cut but maybe $2 lesser in Korea. Anyway i get it done by a K-stylist in SG. So same same right.

I asked for “see-through bangs” and aegyo hair at the sides ( longer fringe at the sides ). I cut bangs before back in 2013 but it was straight thick bangs without side aegyo hair and i look abit “manly” when i tie up my hair. The side aegyo hair adds a little femininity to the look. Looks better when you curl the aegyo hair .

C360_2015-04-13-16-33-36-774 Processed with VSCOcam with s1 preset

So where did i get my inspiration from ?

My 2 favorite actresses – Song Hye Gyo and Shin Min-ah .

You see how they have longer side fringe ( aegyo hair ) ? Looks more feminine right ?

The see-through-bangs are supposed to be slightly longer and looks better. It is supposed to be over your eye brows so you can side sweep it too.  “Block” or “section” them together when you comb and spread some out on the parts which can see your forehead so that it looks “translucent”. Just like the ones on Song Hye Gyo and Shin Min Ah.

1428975710402 1428971641142

Bangs look nice and chic but a hassle because i have to blow dry it straight down after shower. Also , it looks very messy after i woke up. I have to bring a velcro roller out and keep it in my make up pouch with an ‘ah lian’ comb because when it gets a little windy or humid , the fringe looks very messy or sticks to my forehead. When i was in Korea, i saw girls curling their fringe with the velcro roller when they eating in cafes or restaurants or they do in the toilet like it is normal and nobody stares or said anything. But in when i took out my roller yesterday to curl it in the toilet because the weather was really too humid and it stuck to my forehead , i attracted alot of stares and i was afraid of being ‘stomped’ . LOL. That is one thing i wanna blog about – Beauty culture and influence and what makes me go in Korean beauty products.

Busan : Shop Eat Sleep

Currently suffering from Busan trip withdrawal. You know..like already looking forward to the next trip.

Here’s a glimpse of our room in Oppa’s mother’s motel. She is a partner of the motel. It is pretty interesting to see how the operation works behind the counter. There are several rooms ( 8 floors total ). The rooms and levels are split into daily or hour rates. Most of the guests are locals who stop by for few hours of break or rest before they continue their journey by car from one town to another or tourists/locals who are heading to the airport who slept for a night or more. Her motel uses skin care products from Somang and they are provided in the bathroom. Drinks in the fridge are free of charge , 2 high speed internet desk tops , free access to fast speed wifi , jacuzzi in the bathroom , Korean brand shampoos , conditioner, body foam and amenities pack per pax with facial sheet mask , cleanser , tooth paste, tooth brush etc. There are several themes for the rooms and very family friendly. MRT station is just right beside , lotsa eateries around and there is a shopping mall and huge Lotte Mart opposite.I guess that’s why the motel is popular with the locals and tourists because it is convenient

The room was very big. I have stayed at bigger and those well known name hotels in Korea before . To be honest , i prefer staying in motels or guest houses for the experiences and some bigger name hotels cannot be compared to motels.

20150321_234647

My favourite channel is HOME SHOPPING. LOL..here’s a home shopping advert on skincare product. Very tempted to call and buy sometimes.

20150322_102913

I had strawberries almost everyday. Just 3 shops away from the motel is a fruit stall where we got our strawberries from. So sweet and nice. Too juicy !

20150322_170226

So , you can see the fresh sashimi in the previous post.

Here’s a glimpse of Yongwon fish market. We went early in the morning at 9am.

20150322_120411

Jinjae oppa bought 3 live fishes which was sliced into sashimi slices by the ahjumma.

20150322_120615

And we bought live octopus and brought it home alive in the plastic bag ! The ahjumma was choosing a nice one for us.

20150322_120935

Too fresh and i can’t bear to see the ahjumma slicing the fish alive. All were alive 30 minutes before and later they were on our dining table.

Sunday was a simple affair where we had fresh sashimi for lunch before we head to Seomyeon in Busan which was only 30 minutes drive away. It is our 2nd home. Love Seomyeon because there are alot of things to do and see there.

On Monday , we had lunch with Oppa’s mother. She brought us to a famous and good Korean BBQ restaurant. And i had the yummiest beef BBQ in my life. OMG the meat was so juicy , fresh and tender. I LOVE IT !

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It was served with White Kimchi. My first time trying White Kimchi. Kinda sour but very nice !

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Dip the meat in salt/sesame oil or Samjang sauce , wrap in lettuce leaf with white kimchi and stuff it in your mouth.

OH MY GOODNESS so delicious !

After BBQ , it is a must to have cold noodles to “cool” down your taste bud after all the oily BBQ food.

Feeling was refreshing and the cold noodle was so nice.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

After lunch , we went to Seomyeon Medical Street. The street was filled with hair salons , nail / eye lash salons and plastic surgery clinics. We made appointment at Hwamiju hair salon. Hwamiju has alot of branches. Ahjumma power do works. Oppa’s mother asked for the director and head of the salon to take a look at my hair because i wanted to do C curl perm at my hair ends. She insisted that she take a look at my hair and when the director was analyzing my hair , she stood beside to give the director pressure lol. Oppa’s mother want to make sure i get the best service and not to be discounted just because im a foreigner. My hair was damaged at the ends and im not able to go for the C curl perm. I was soo disappointed but thanks to Oppa’s mother , i get to seek better opinion. If i were to go any salons myself , the stylists will probably just do it for me for the money.

C curl perm was only KRW 80,000 which is about SGD 90. So cheap right. Hair cut for ladies also very cheap. If you were to go to Korea, you really have to go to their hair salon for the experience. Get your hair dyed , permed , cut and washed there. The services were good. I had Magic Straight treatment done at hair salons in Korea before and it is a must to visit salons there because of the experience , price and the results. Im always happy with my results. And they are very fast and attentive. The stylists stick to you from start to end except for washing hair part where it will be done by shampoo boy/girl. When i was waiting for the hair dye to absorb , i was taken to corner where i had a 5 mins hand massage, get to watch dramas/shows on an ipad etc. Different salons provides different experiences and services. It is also very cheap to get it done there. A perm in SG will cost you probably $300-$600 but you can save up to 50-60% in Korea.

We had tonkatsu rice for dinner. So cheap and yummy ! We were still full from our heavy lunch so we ordered a plate to share.

It was getting windy and cold. It was 10 degrees but it felt like 2-3 degrees because of the wind. Suddenly the temperature dipped and it signaled the end of Winter and start of Spring.

I was freezing in my outfit because it was soo windy and cold.

Here was a box of AHC modeling pack i got from Olive and Young for KRW 29,900. Tax refund is available.

I tried this pack already and I LOVE IT SO MUCH !

My skin looks clear after using this mask. AHC is a brand which is not easily available anywhere because it was used in some aesthetic clinic. It is a professional Korean skincare line which stands for Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics.

One box comes with 5 collagen activator ( liquid form ) and 5 packs of modeling powder.

The instructions are all in Korean but it is easy to use.

In the box, they do provide the spatula and a rubber bowl for you to mix the collagen activator and modeling powder.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Pour the all powder in the pack in the bowl.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Pour the activator in the bowl and hurry mix it within 2-3 minutes because they harden up pretty fast.

Then use the spatula and spread it across your face. If you have been to spas or aesthetic clinics before , i bet you should have tried  this kind of mask before.

I can’t take an after picture after putting on the mask because lol..i can’t see anything and inconvenient for me to take a picture.

After putting the mask on for about 15-20 minutes , you can peel it away like a normal sheet mask and then apply your other skincare products thereafter.

This mask set is available in Olive and Young. But not all Olive and Young has it and i got it a bigger Olive and Young outlet where they sell alot of facial masks , hair cares etc. I got 2 box at KRW 29,900 each.

I wanted to get this sheet mask too but it was expensive. 5 pieces for KRW 45,000. So i didn’t get it.

But im definitely gonna get this AHC collagen cream on next trip. It is not easy to find AHC products in Korea and i saw that the brand is available for purchase at Hyundai mall website . Guess im gonna order and send it to Oppa’s mom or brother’s house and bring it back when i go to Busan again.
