Time flies and now it is mid Feb. The wedding is just 8 months away. So much to be done and so much undone. The actual preparation will commence in April .

Some places we are looking at recently. Oppa’s mother is already recce-ing some places. The family group chat now is now about the wedding , price list and i think it was kinda finalized.

Here’s some reviews of the new make up products i bought from Taiwan. Most are Taiwanese or Japanese brand. I used Japanese make up products before i switched to Korean brands about 5 years ago. Shiseido , Kose and Hada Labo are some of the brands i used to use many many years ago. Reason for the switch to Korean brands was because i find Japanese products quite drying probably due to alcohol content. Also it is hard to find full range in SG. You can find the cleansers and toners of certain brands/range and then it stops there. No essences , emulsions , serums or moisturizers. Japanese make up and beauty products are also more expensive esp drugstore brands. Korean products are cheaper , natural and more moisturizing for my skin. There are good and nice Japanese beauty products around but just that they don’t suit my skin type.

I enjoy shopping at Watsons when i was in Taipei. Alot of make up and skin care to try.

Here’s a Taiwanese brand – HEME .
This eye shadow palette is really cheap. NT199 before 15% discount which is about SGD 7.50 .

Packaging says will use until there is a curve on the palette..don’t know true or not lol. But good marketing.
I only used once and i kinda like it because it is light and natural.

Here is another Taiwanese brand – Solone

If i remember correctly , this blusher was only NT99 which is approx SGD 5 so i bought 2 colours – 1 light pink and 1 rose pink. You can find this brand in Sasa Wisma Atria.

To be honest when i saw the box packaging , i expected a nicer casing but abit disappointed when i opened it and it was a plastic tupperware like casing. At first i thought i bought a refill pack. Then i went down to check and it was not. But for $5 …can’t ask for too much also. But i was surprised by the pigments because it was quite strong and durable. The colour stays on well on my bb / cc cream. This is worth the buy despite the cheapo casing.

Here’s a lipbalm/tint from Heme. I remembering going down to shop at 2am in Watsons lol.

Price was NT199 which is approx SGD 7.50 with 15% discount. It comes in 4 colours – Nude , Peach , Red and Fuschia. I bought the red one. I won’t say that it is really a tint because the colour is not very obvious. I used it as a lip balm because it is moisturizing. Though i bought red and expected the colour to be abit obvious on my lips but it was not as compared to trying it on the back of my palm. So i use this and on top of it i added another coat of my lipstick.

But it does have good moisturizing effect.

This lip tint looks like a jelly with a red star shaped tint in the middle that gives you the mild colour and the clear part is like a balm.

I will say these are quite affordable and worth the buy. You can give it a try. I see that certain Taiwanese brands are available at Sasa but of cos buying it in Taipei is cheaper. You can find them in Watsons in Taiwan.

Hehe…side track abit..i like the ear muffs i wore to Taiwan. Finally i can wear it after i bought it 2 years ago from Korea. I like the burgundy + black mix tone.
