VelyVely Make Up Review

Hehe im black with reviews ! I stopped my Busan blogging at Day 6 i think ! OMG I got alot to update but too much ! Too busy in October and November and then Dec which is Xmas. I will just skip to the make up and skincare reviews on the products i got 2 months ago and i have been using them for 2-3 months already. So it is a good time for honest reviews !

Good thing about having a sis-in-law who is a year younger than you is that we have many things in common and talk about. Both of us like to look at clothes , make ups and skincare. So 3 years ago , she recommended this brand called IMVELY to me.

Imvely is like Stylenanda. I think everyone should know 3CE and Stylenanda lah. 3CE is the cosmetic arm of Stylenanda.

Well for Imvely , Velyvely is the cosmetic arm of Imvely.
Imvely sells clothes and Velyvely sells cosmetics.

Presents from SIL (Velyvely eyeshadow palette and sun cushion)

I have not used the sun cushion yet so i cannot review.

 

The colours are soo prettyyy.

Definitely my style ! sis-in-law’s style and my style are the same so i guess she chose the right colour for me !

 

I love this colour combi. Works very well on my eyelids and brightens my skin and look.

It looks orangey but when you apply , it is actually very subtle.
They have many types of palettes (smoky eyes etc). But this one is definitely my style !

I don’t know how much it costs but don’t think it can be found in Olive Young. Only cushions and basic lip sticks range can be found in Olive young but the full range can only be bought from their stores.

Now the star product is their BB Cushion.

The popular one is AURA GLOW CUSHION which i find it toooo dewy and gives a too “wet and sweaty” look. The Honey Cushion is semi dewy and works well for me.

The black one is Perfect Cover Cushion which is more matt.

 

The Perfect Cover Cushion in N21.

This cushion is more matt and coverage is not very thick though it is called Perfect Cover. So don’t expect it to cover your blemishes. But one thing for sure is , it is longlasting. I went out today in sweat and rain but i did not need to touch up.
Whereas for the Honey Glow (Yellow) , i have to touch up once or twice a day.

It kinda reminds me of Hera Black Cushion. I used the black cushion before and if you were to ask me hor…i prefer this than the Hera one. This is more moisturising. Hera one is abit drying on me.

Next is the Honey Glow Cushion.

 

Like the name , it is moisturising and gives a semi-dewy look. Not the very shiny kind of dewy but subtle one. Moisturising factor definitely high but not very lasting as compared to Perfect cover. Oh yes one thing i like about this latest product is the shape of the cushion which has an angled end. It makes blending around the nose eye area easier and nose edges. The air cushion pad material is slightly different too. It is abit plastic leatherish. Which means that your cushion pad will not look very dirty with foundation or other make up stains. I can clean and wipe it with a tissue.

Perfect Cover Cushion (Black) has round cushion and the usual cover material whereas the yellow Honey Glow Cushion has an angled cushion pad and looks more leatherish.

 

If you ask me which one is better ?
It depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin , the black Perfect Cover will suit you. If you have dry or normal skin , Honey Glow cushion in yellow will be better.

Hanyul Artemisia

Used up my Pyungkang Yul set in June and got my housemate to help me buy this set when she went back in June.

I started to love this series after i bought and used the moisturier last year when i went to Korea in Oct.

I bought the Toner and Fluid which i apply after my serum.

So my steps are Cleansing -> Toner -> Essence -> Serum -> Fluid -> Moisturiser.

Ehh..when i first used the moisturiser , i am not used to the scent. Because all the while i have been using Hera and other brands which gives a more derma or perfumed scent. Whereas for this Hanyul artemisia series, it smells abit like freshly cut grass lol. But it is very mild and i find it quite pleasant actually ! Smells very light and refreshing. The texture of the toner and fluid is also smooth and does not leave sticky feeling so it is easy to apply make up after that. It is very moisturising and i really like it. So this coming Sept when i go to Korea to fulfil my daughter-in-law duties during Chuseok , im going to stock up this and another series (Rice series which is pink bottle).

I love how this moisturiser and calm my skin without feeling sticky. It is also refreshing. Packaging also looks atas and the bottle is actually quite heavy. It absorbs into my skin quite fast too. I really love this!!! Suitable for Sg weather.

If you prefer something not so creamy and light in texture , the artemesia series from Hanyul will suit you ! You can get from any Aritaum stores in Korea. If i remember correct (how much i paid back to my housemate) , the toner + fluid set costs less than SGD 40.

New mask review from KR !

I thought i was unable to head to KR in Sept so i asked a friend to help me buy from Olive Young (KRW 35,000) .

 

 

 

This mask is very hard to find because very fast out of stock ! I was contemplating between the Honey , Ginseng or Vitamin Tree one. Decided to get the Honey mask because it is the more popular choice. There must be a reason why it is the more popular choice right.

How to Use ? 

Unlike your usual sleeping mask where you can apply and go to sleep , it is better to use this mask during shower because you need to wash it off. So what i do is that , i will cleanse my face , towel dry and then apply this mask before i wash it off after about 15mins.

The texture is very sticky and ermm…sounds disgusting but when you apply on your face , it is like smearing jam on your whole face. Very sticky and all. I think if you were to leave it overnight , all the ants will come and stick onto your face leh !

Results ? 

I was taken back by effect and how it makes my skin soft and smooth after that. Now wonder this mask was quite popular. Skin also looks brighter. Worth buying and trying.

What i don’t like about it ? 

The smell and it is really damn sticky (because of the honey ingredients). The mask got onto my hair and i need to shampoo my fringe and side burns again. So now smart liao..i will wear a headband and hide all my hair behind so it will not get to my hair.

The whole mask’s texture is just like strawberry jam + peanut butter. It smells like very thick and pure honey. This brand is known to be organic so i guess that’s why.

Besides the smell and the stickiness, i think everything is okay and i really like it ! If only it comes in leave on mask version.

 

Buy or not ?

YES ! If you don’t mind the hassle and the thick organic honey smell.

HanSkin Moolbalm (Pink) #Kbeauty

Wanted to review this quite a while back after i loaded onto my instastory and dayre but did not have a chance to because i was caught up with work and trying out new cooking recipes! Not really recipes i think..more like hmmm experiencing new dishes and cooking styles.

This is my favourite tone up balm (colour correcting) which i bought it when i was in Korea in Oct 2017.

It is supposed to help to brighten and even out your skin tone before you apply your Bb cushion or foundations. Some people use this alone like a bb balm but i use it as a primer before i pat on my bb cushion. It is abit matt so i don’t use it alone and coverage is not there. I apply this and then my DPC cushion.

HanSkin Moolbalm (Pink).

Hanskin is the first brand to develop BB cream and their BB cream really sold out.

Their concealer is very good too! It is called the Blemish Cover Concealer which comes in 3 tones. I reviewed before 1 or 2 yrs back. Now they changed packaging and came with free concealer brush at ₩7,900. The concealer was sold out in the colour “Bright” after some famous Korean make up youtubers raved about it. This colour is damn hard to get. Everytime i want to buy but cannot find because out of stock.

You can buy HanSkin products in Korea’s Olive Young stores.

I like how it brightens and tone up my skin before i apply my Bb cushion.

Because the tone is pinkish, not many people will suit this balm. Some people will end up with greyish skin tone. Just like how i cannot use Sulwhasoo’s cushion cos the cushion makes my skin looks yellow lol.

This balm comes in 2 tone – Shimmer and Pink. The one im using is Pink. Shimmer one is in cushion form and works more like a whole face high lighter.

I cannot remember how much i bought it but it should be around ₩15,000 .

If you are looking for a tone up balm, you can give this a shot but before you buy, try the sample first. You can buy from Olive Young in Korea.

If you are keen to get online, GlobalHmall in Gmarket does sell this. I blogged about the list of shops and departmental stores that ship to Sg few posts back. GlobalHmall is where i get my stuff too. Sometimes the deal there is cheaper than i get from store because there sre discount coupons. So i even get from there and ship it to my Mil house in Korea. Just that if i ship to her house i get free shipping lo. And i bring back home everything when i go Korea.

Cannot wait for next trip leh. I need stock up my skincare. 3 more mths to the trip and i already finished up my stock ups which i bought last year. Heng ah..Guardian got 30% off skincare products from 28th June to 1st July. I went to grab some from CNP Laboratory brand first to last me till end Sept.

#Kbeauty Review !

It’s been almost 1.5months since i started using this brand Pyunkang Yul.

This brand was developed by the renowned Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic in Korea.

We have the Chinese TCM here in SG whereas in Korea, they also have their traditional medicine called “Hanbang-Yak (한방약)” 

I tried the traditional medicine before. They are pretty and nicely packed for your convenience and you drink it in the morning before going to work. I don’t really like the taste. VERY bitter. But my MIL put that infront of me so i bo bian have to finish it. lol

I chanced upon this brand while i was surfing Lotte Duty Free shopping app.

I bought the cleanser , serum and moisturiser. The essence toner came in FREE ! lol I wanted to get it initially but i saw that if i spend more than KRW 40,000 on Pyunkang Yul , i will get a free toner ! So of cos lah..i didn’t buy…and got the free one instead ! So remember to check out the freebies that comes with your purchase before you buy so you can save some moolahs !

 

I like their classy blue box and blue bottle packaging. Looks like Korean version of Aesop lol.

 

Pyunkang Yul Cleansing Foam 

This cleansing foam tube is quite huge and i think can last me for about 3 months if i were to use it alone. I refused to share this with my hubs lol.

Texture is very milky and i like how it foams easily and doesn’t dries up my skin after cleansing. The texture is very smooth so it makes cleansing very easy and gentle. It is easy to wash off too.

But there is something i don’t really like. The texture is quite milky such that you do not even need to squeeze the tube and the cleanser wil flow out . So when i open the cap , abit of the cleanser will flow out and drip on the floor. The cleanser works better on a pump bottle than a tube. But overall , this cleanser works well on me. Face looks clean and brightened up after cleansing.

If you have sensitive or dry skin , this cleanser should work well on you !

 

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

Texture is pretty smooth just like a serum. So it glides on and spreads easily on the face. Good hydrating effect and it absorbs into the skin pretty fast so you can apply the next skincare right away. I like the classy blue bottle ! Its pretty heavy and glass-like. So becareful not to break it !


 

 

 

Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream

There are 3 different types of moisturizers in the range – Nourishing Cream , Balancing Gel and Moisture Cream .

I managed to get hold of the Moisture Cream because Nourishing Cream was out of stock at that time.

It is quite rich and suitable for people with dry skin or who sleeps in air-conditioned room at night. The cream is quite rich so i have to wait for about 10 mins before i can apply my make up. Otherwise my make up will not set and blend properly. If you have oily or combi skin , perhaps the gel will be better.

Overall , this has good moisturizing effect !

Pyunkang Yul Moisture Serum

The serum feels like emulsion and texture is quite thick and rich.  Overall it has good moisturising effect. But i find the pipette not very user friendly.

 

This range overall does have its moisturizing effects. My skin wasn’t used to it at first. Properly because of the sudden switch in skincare. But after a week, it works pretty well on my skin ! It is a brand i will definitely buy again !

And if you ask me what is the MUST buy in the list above ? I will say it is the essence toner !

Kbeauty and Taobao Shopping

Happy New Year !

Jan was another busy month with CNY preparation , work , spring cleaning , body check ups etc ! I just went for my HSG test in Jan and my fallopian tubes were unblocked and uterine cavity shape is normal. Don’t know to be happy or not because no problem leh..but still have not conceived. But we decided to take it slow and steady. Now is CNY , i shall share my HSG test experiences in this space after this week.

Thank you all who dropped me a msg after seeing in my instastory on my HSG test. I felt not alone knowing there are people who are in the same situation as me and grateful that they shared their journey , advices and tips 🙂 Thank you all for the encouragement. I really apprecite it alot and grateful.

 

I know this post may come abit late but many asked where i got my clothes from after seeing my instastory. I got my stuff mostly from taobao. I ship direct via consolidation shipping. So it is cheaper. To ship 2 dresses via air freight courier cost about SGD 5. They take quite fast to arrive except during peak periods like festive seasons , 11.11 , 12.12 sales etc. They may take up to 1 month. Mostly stuck at custom and SG side. To be honest after buying stuff from KR and Taobao , i realized SG courier services and post office are not as efficient. SG is so small but it can take up to 5 days to deliver your registered mail for the same price but in KR , it takes a day to deliver from one end to the other end of the country ( eg from Seoul to Busan ). I can order something on Monday before 2pm and it arrives the next day.

 

Anyway , some girls requested that i share the shops i frequents. It is a long huge list but here are my favourites and where i got my stuff from. Good thing when you download their app is that you can take picture of item you want and TB will automatically find the same identical one or similar ones for you ! Damn amazing !

I have more in my favourite shops list but these are the ones i frequent often ! I only get their coats during 11.11 or 12.12 or black friday sales. Cos they will be even cheaper ! Or off winter season sales !

So enjoy ! I shall share on Gmarket and where i get my beauty stuff next time . I think more people will be interested. They are from super reliable sources and you do not need to worry about them being fakes. Apparently i got to know that some shops in SG or online do not ship them from Korea. They import from China. Because a friend of mine is a distributor for Korean cosmetic products. He is a proper distributor with contracts and distribution rights from some big brands and derma brands. He prospected some shop in SG that are selling Korean cosmetics and beauty products but they find his is slightly expensive though they are shipped directly from Korea. They told him they prefer to get from China instead. Not saying that things from China are fakes. Some maybe real. But after hearing and reading news of fake Nature Republic Aloe Vera gel from China going around and even fake Laneige cushions….it got me abit scared. Because i do not know where they get it from and im applying all these on my face on a regular and daily basis. Some make ups like eyeshadows are applied on the eyes somemore. So becareful and wary where you buy your cosmetics and beauty products from. You spend the $ to look good but make sure it is worth it and not spent on products from unknown sources.

 

Hehe #Kbeauty reviews soon ! One of the new brand i would like to intro to everyone here. It has a history of Korean traditional medicine ( just like our TCM ). I got it last October and im finally going to finish my SU:M 37 Waterful Radiant set and im going to start on this probably by this weekend ! I shall review after that together with my BBIA and VDL buys from Gmarket HmallGlobal (Hyundai Mall Global) and Mamonde lipsticks (Buy 1 get 1 free) from Amore Pacific on Gmarket during year end sales ! 2 Mamonde lipsticks for KRW 15,000 which was about SGD 17,000 then. Super good deal since my lipsticks used up very fast.

Just a short intro on this brand , it was developed by the renowned Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic in Korea which infuses Traditional Korean Medicine in their products.

Now i old liao. Turning 32 this year. So i am looking more into products that has a little more “nutritious value”. LOL i don’t know how to explain that but this is what they say in Korean. I realized i have been speaking a little more “Konglish” these days ( Korean + English = Konglish ).

Got this entire set (Toner , Serum , Moisturizer and Cleanser ) but of cos im adding on with other serums and essences from other brands together with these 4 in my 7 8 9 10 steps skincare routine !

Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer

Wah this is damn good man ! It was recommended by a Korean youtube makeup blogger which i followed. She recommended this and i must say this is really good ! Not expensive. About KRW 8000 and it is a huge tub for a concealer. I have been using this for 1 month plus already and i think it will last me at least 2 years plus lah before i use all up.

The coverage is great and it is also moisturizing so it is not cakey at all. This is a RECOMMENDED concealer if you want to cover your dark eye circles. It covers up my dark circles very well. Plus it is so affordable..for KRW8000 (SGD9) , you can use this for at least 2 years. Best part is …it is NOT CAKEY even after application on top of BB Cushion !

If you drop by Skinfood or going to Korea and looking for concealer , this is one that you must get. If im not wrong there is a skinfood in Tampines mall or Tampines One. Im always confused with these 2 malls. But it is at one of those. The mall with uniqulo and daiso one.

Etude house lip scrub KRW 4200 

I got it at 10% off because i am a Aritaum VIP member. I love this scrub ! Smell like apple and really scrub away the layer of dead skin on my lips. I always wondered how come my lips still look flakey or dry even after applying moisturizing lipsticks or tints. My makeup artist at my Korean wedding in Busan told me that it is because there is a layer of dead skin and everytime i apply my lipstick , there will be bit of dead skin cells being “transferred” onto the lipsticks. So after lipstick application , recommended that i clean it with tissue. Plus i am a fan of velvety and matt lipsticks these days which means i have to keep my lips in good condition. So i got this scrub to get rid of any dead skincells on my lips. It really makes lipstick applications more clean and smooth. And my lips don’t look too chappy even after applying semi-matt or matt lipsticks.

WAH ! I really need this leh! I have been tying my hair into pony tail so often and almost everyday esp since i always do housework and need to get my hair away…and also during my work appointments , i will always tie my hair up so it is not distracting whenever i need to present ideas on the paper. So…….why do i need this ???
Because i have been tying up my hair too tight too often , i have slight receding hairline at the sides ! Got lobang leh…omggg.

And also during my 2016 Korean wedding in Busan , the make up artist used this to draw a “heartshape” hairline when she did my hair into a bun. That is also because of my slight receding hairline 😦

It is a crayon on one end and a sponge for you to smudge it. I will share how to use it in the next few posts. Cos i use this before i go to work and always in a rush. So no time to take pictures properly to show you girls how to use it.

You can even create “illusional” baby hair with this. LOL.

Iope Pro-Peeling Soft Gel KRW 14,900

If you are looking for a peeling scrub for face , this is one soft gel peeling i recommend you to get !

It is very good and not very drying !
I realized my skin looks very clean and clear after that . Also slightly fairer !!!!!

I really love this ! My friends too love it ! Face feels and looks clean and clear after that ! I use it once a week only.

Not recommended to use daily. Once or twice a week can already.

 

Derma skincare is kind of a IN thing right now. You can walk into Olive Young and find many brands from Korean aesthetics company or dermatologists. I have been using some Korean derma brands and will slowly review them because i have not opened some to use yet !

Dermalift Facial Foam

I heard that the facial masks for this brand was very good ! But i didn’t buy because it is very expensive ! 😦 1 mask for KRW 3900 if there is no discount 😦 This brand was developed by LG. I realized i have been using brands by LG these days like SUM37 and Dermalift. Even brands like The Face Shop is under LG too.

Here is the review…

If you have dry skin and prefer a non-drying facial foam that cleanses your face thoroughly , this  is one good cleanser !
The first impression of this cleanser was that it felt and smelt like those cleansers that aestheticians use in clinics. It is not drying and not very foamy. Gives you a clean and non drying skin after shower.

 

Very happy because it bought it during an event in Olive Young. When Koreans say “event” , it does not mean like an event with stage or some big promotions. But they are referring to discounts or 1+1 (buy 1 get 1 free) etc.

Got this set at KRW 14,900. The actual price for this facial foam was KRW20,000

 

SUM:37 Waterfull Radiant Hydrating Glow Cream

 

I blogged about buying this set from airport before so here is the review since i have started using and opened it.

I find this moisturizer so-so only though i like the toner and emulsion which are moisturizing.

 

Why i find it so-so only was because it is not that moisturizing enough. Perhaps because it is the glow cream. It has another water-full version which maybe more moisturizing. Because im always in air-conditioned room , so i need a moisturizing one.

 

A.H.C GEN:5 Wrinkle Care Ampoule 

KRW 19,000 (after discount) from Lotte Dept Store Online. You can find this brand AHC in Olive Young (only selected range) or Lotte Duty Free. There is one at Lotte Dept Store (Seomyeon Main Branch Level 7) . You can get tax refund there. There is also one at Lotte World Tower in Seoul. This is an aesthetic brand which some aesthetic clinics in SG uses. I noted it when i went for facials..they use A.H.C toners and serums. You can even buy it from Gmarket.

 

 

I like this ampoule so much ! Not only is it very worth it but i can my skin improved whenever i used this with a sheet mask. I will apply this first before putting on the sheet mask. This is one of my few anti-aging products. I think i need to start already because i have been working till late and i scared i look older faster 😦 If you have any Korean friends in Korea, you can even ask them to get this brand’s products for you through Home Shopping apps like Lotte Homeshopping. They sell the serums , eye creams and even BB cushions in bulk and it is really cheap ! My Mother in law bought for me the eye cream and i really love it ! It really moisturizes my skin and it is a highly raved cream which i will review in the next few posts ! She bought in bulk (like 10 tubes) via home shopping but i paiseh so i took only 2 tubes back.

Ok back to this ampoule ! It comes in 3 types : Hydration , Anti-Wrinkle and Whitening. I will get the hydration one next round. This bottle is really huge and very heavy though it is made of plastic.  I think can use for about 1yr even though i use it daily. Usually my ampoules and serums lasted me 2 months max. If not that my luggage was overweight , i would have bought the hydration (blue bottle) one.

 

DPC Pink Aura Cushion KRW59,000

I got it via Lotte Duty Free. It is the travel special edition.  I bought through the app which i blogged below in this post.

It comes with 2 mains + 2 refills ! So total is 4 !

This is a new cushion highly recommended by my sis-in-law. Haha i got to her for the latest products and what is good. She has good skin too ! This product is kind of the rave now on home shopping and among the ladies. Even my Korean teacher also bought this and using it now. It gives a healthy glow to the skin and coverage is good. It is also moisturizing. I really have no complains for this.

It comes with a slight pink tone mixed with BB cushion which gives you the healthy glow and colour correction.

Some cushions with pink tones makes your skin looks abit grey-ish but this one does not. I really love this ! Now i have 3 favourite cushions and i am so lost which one to use lol so i alternate them. The ones im using are from Hera UV Mist Moisture, Sum37 Waterfull cushion and DPC Pink Aura cushion. Will take another picture of the actual thing (inside) in the next review. LOL because i have used mine for almost 2 months and it looks very cui already..very paiseh to take picture and show here.

 

So alot of people asked me how did i managed to bring so many things back even for my friends , clients and myself and yet never need to pay luggage overweight charge ???

I used the LOTTE DUTY FREE app to order and collect it at the airport on departure date.
It is VERY easy and convenient.

2. Cart out the things you want to buy (you can search by brands)

3. Make payment and enter your passport details and departure dates etc

4. On your departure day , after clearing the immigration , head to the collection counters and get a queue number to collect your bags of items.

 

I suggest that you check in early. Because that time , i am 40 mins away from departure time and there are 40 pax infront of me in the queue. But as you know Koreans are very efficient and fast…so i waited for less than 15 mins to collect my stuff. You have to present your boarding pass and passport for verification before you collect. So it is important that you update and indicate the correct departure time when you place your order. So that your items can reach the airport on time few hours before your departure for your collection. Some products can be purchased on the same day or 3 hours before departure and collection. But most you need to buy the day before. Like some items i want are only available instock in Seoul but i depart from Busan Gimhae Airport , so i need to cart out at least a day before. You can buy liquid or gel items..they will pack in those safety taped duty free plastic carriers.

 

I usually buy BB Cushions or moisturisers or anything i want to buy more than 2 sets from Lotte Duty Free. Usually you can find those travel exclusive sets from duty free and they are cheaper. 1 HERA BB Cushion costs KRW 55,000 but you can buy the travel sets (2 sets = 2 mains + 2 refills) for KRW 70,000. Also they are tax free. Save your luggage space and money also.

And if you cannot find what you want in Olive young or anywhere, you can download the gmarket app and order from Lotte, Hyundai, Olive Young or Shinsegae and input your accomodation address. Sometimes they have events and you can get alot of free gifts and samples. Got for a friend her black cushion set which comes with alot of freebies at KRW 49,000 from Hyundai. That time they were having sale. For example , just type HERA under search bar in Gmarket and somewhere in the middle of your mobile screen , you can see the Hyundai Mall , Lotte.com , Shinsaegae etc buttons. So you can click on those to filter out. I will suggest that you compare the prices first. Because sometimes certain malls have discounts but some don’t. They ship out pretty fast , within 24 hours after you have paid and fastest will arrive the next day depending on what time did you order the day before. If you cart out in the morning , it should reach you by next day but just incase there is any delay , better to give 2 days allowance. Their refund system is very fast…if item is out of stock , they will cancel your order and refund immediately. These department stores do not ship overseas in Gmarket. So you can only order when you are in Korea.

A friend of mine find this useful after i taught her to use Gmarket and Lotte Duty Free App. She went to Korea with her family and her parents are more into sight seeing than shopping so most of the time she was out in the nature sight seeing and visiting historical places. There is no time or not much time to shop. So she used the Duty Free App to buy her Hera skin care (because they are very heavy..their bottles are very glass-like and heavy) and Gmarket to do her other beauty care shopping. Reason why i suggest to use Gmarket instead of Lotte, Hyundai, Olive Young and Shinsegae direct website is because it is super mafan to create an account. You need a local number and the number must match its registered address. Which means you cannot enter another address which does not match the local number’s record. It is really so troublesome to create an account even for some of their local online shop clothings site.

There are some Korean local online clothing stores i want to recommend !

SU:M37 Review

 

Im back and i miss this space lol. Last 1 month was quite hectic at work. Claims , meeting new people , going for my medical check ups and accompany clients for medical check ups etc. Started my day at 930am and ended almost 9pm daily and on weekends.

And finally i get to pamper myself with new products ! So it is review time !

Toners , body scubs and new BB cushion ! yay! Always looking of forward to relax and pamper my skin.

I was shopping for sauces and groceries at Sengkang’s Koryo mart when i saw this from PLU.

It was in my must-buy list when i go Korea for 2 weeks  this coming October. I already added into my cart and was thinking of asking MIL to order 10 tubes from Lotte Home Shopping mobile app because it is cheaper but i paiseh to trouble her so decided to order from Gmarket myself and send to my MIL’s place and bring back when i go over in Oct. There is a discount (1+1 for KRW 14,000) on Gmarket. The one in Sengkang’s Koryo mart cost $14.90 per tube. Quite expensive but bo bian. I decided to buy 1 tube from Koryo mart first because i need a good scrub badly. I can feel my skin quite dry these days and i finished my old tube of scrub already. Going without scrubs for 1 month is quite xin ku for me because felt like got alot of dead skin and no matter how much moisturiser you apply , the skin still feel very dry.

Anyway this is a popular body scrub. It is also my MIL’s favourite brand.  She introduced it to me 3 years ago. Previously was a brown tube. This purple one is the new version and more moisturizing.

 

 

The beads are pretty gentle and not very coarse or harsh on the skin. Skin felt very smooth and clean after the scrub !

 

 

Im running out of my HERA skincare soon and luckily, my Korean teacher went back to Korea for 2 weeks and she helped me to buy my new set of skincare products and BB cushion ! I didn’t go back to Korea in March so i couldn’t stock up my supply 😦

This October trip will have alot of shopping to do liao. I carting out from the duty free online and collect at the airport when i go back to SG. I go so much to buy and i think if i were to pack all in my luggage sure overweight cos most of them are in glass bottles.

 

I switch and change my skincare brand once in a while. This time i am using the brand SU:M37.

SUM37 is a reputable brand just like HERA. Maybe not as popular or well known as HERA , Laneige or Sulwhasoo.

Got myself a new cleanser. Need a whitening and brightening cleanser badly. I like this texture. Very foamy and rich.

Smell also abit citrusy but hubs say smells like Mama Lemon. Lol

 

It does really brigthen my skin and my skin looks more clear after washing up. Definitely will buy this again ! My skin felt very clean after that and doesn’t dry up the skin like other whitening/brightening facial foam ! If you are looking for a new facial foam or looking to try out new ones , i will recommend this one.

Price : KRW 27,000 from airport duty free.

 

I always wanted to use this after trying out a refill pack. When i saw this travel exclusive…of cos must buy lah !

2 main case cushion + 4 refills for only KRW 71,000 ! That is about SGD $80 !!

SUM37 is available at Tangs Orchard and Vivocity but it is very expensive in SG. 1 main case cushion + 1 refill cost SGD $67 in Tangs. Very expensive  compared to Korea.

I like this cushion alot. It is very moisturising just like its name “Waterfull” and quite lasting too ! If you were to compare with the HERA black cushion , it is not as long lasting as the black cushion because black cushion is more matt and matt cushion are more long lasting.

 

 

If you are looking for new cushion , this is one cushion you can try. I will definitely stock up on this again. Not only because of the price but it is very good and suits my skin type.

Though it is called Waterfull cushion , it is does not give that super dewy and glowy look compared to the HERA UV mist cushion. This is semi-matt with slight dewy effect. Lasting power also not bad. This cushion was made to be long lasting in summer weather. So it suits our SG weather. Hehe it is also in my next must-buy list and already in my cart. Shall cart out when im in KR and collect it at airport when i depart from KR.

 

I also got the Hydrating Glow set but i have not try it yet. Going to start using it this week and shall review it maybe this or next week !

HERA BLACK CUSHION in N21 (Vanilla)

Finally i got my Hera Black Cushion 3 weeks ago and have been using it for almost 2 weeks.

 

Here is my honest review!

I really like the packaging alot. It looks very classy and it kind of resembled the YSL cushion.

Black casing with gold rims.

The cushion pad quality seemed to be better and improved.

 

 

There is also the HERA logo embossed on the cushion.

 

 

 

Packaging and casing was great but the most important thing is the coverage and texture.

It was marketed to be light weight , brightens the skin , matt and lasts longer as per their website (Click HERE)

Here are my reviews after 2 weeks of use :

Coverage : Light but full. It does brightens the skin. I am using N21 (Vanilla).

Dewyness : It is quite matt and if you have dry skin , you may want to apply moisturizing primer before using this cushion. Sometimes when i am in the aircon room for too long and my skin felt dry , i have to spray facial mist first before touching up with the cushion else very hard to blend.

Lasting Power : Yes it does last quite long and i do not need much touch up except when i wiped my mouth after meals.

What i like about this cushion : it really helps to brighten up my skin. It looks more luminous and it really lasts longer esp in the hot weather these days.

Should you buy ? : Yes ! It works well in our summery and hot humid weather. You do not need to worry about your base make up melting away. But if you like this cushion and yet find it too matt like me , try applying moisturizing primer first.

This is also something i got and waiting to arrive too ! Shall review once i got my hands on it and tried for at least a week !

I meet alot of people during my work. Some whom i met the first time thought that i am in my early 20s..around 25 or 26 years old. Sometimes , uber drivers will ask me “No school today ah?” . So they were shocked and surprised when they realized that i am already 31+ after i introduced myself and my experience in the industry.  Many said that my face looks quite young..and ladies will ask for my skincare routine and products im using and why i don’t have any wrinkles yet. Interestingly , guys will assume that i am high maintainence (go for aesthetic treatments, botox etc etc weekly to maintain).

To be honest , i can see that i age abit liao compared to last time. Maybe they meet me for the first time and don’t know how i look like before.

So what is my beauty secret ? How to look young ? What kind of products did i use ?

To be honest , i do not have any beauty secrets.

It is all about hydration.

I realized that as i grow older , my skin becomes more dry easily and now i have to use creamier products.

Drink more water and also i use more of hydration products. Only switching between whitening and firming/collagen serums inbetween. Hydration helps to “pump” up your skin. It is like a kind of “natural” fillers. Moisturising is a MUST in my daily skincare routine. Proper skin hydrating care can help to make your skin looks younger and brighter.

And before i sleep , i will hydrate my skin since i switch on the air-con everyday ( hubby cannot stand the heat )

I also drink green tea daily.

So perhaps you can try to focus more on hydrating your skin and see if there is any improvement in your skin condition. Of cos you cannot expect immediate results overnight. It takes some time. Give yourself about 6 months !

Now the weather very hot and sunny. I should focus more on whitening soon already. Can’t wait for next Korea trip in Sept. And waiting for any new launch products that are good.

BTW ! My HERA BLACK CUSHION ARRIVED ! Going to review once i used it ! And i also have some cushion eyeshadows to recommend too ! It is so convenient and the colour is really natural 🙂

I went to Dooki at Suntec City for dinner about 3 weekends ago!
It is Tteokbokki buffet ! We ate alot! You have to make your own sauces and i think the sauce that Mr Shin concocted is not bad lol

 Just updated on my youtube channel after saving my instastory video.

The queue is very long so it is better for you to make reservation way ahead first. Alot of choices for the toppings but rice cakes are very starchy. So though it is buffet,  we couldn’t eat much. Stomach gets too full quite fast.

Im hooked to the following dramas these days.

They kept me busy from Tuesday to Friday late nights.  LOL
