Prague is really beautiful but over crowded with tourists every single corner. Chances of being photo bombed is almost 100%.

It was really an adventure. Well , we missed our train ride to Prague. D booked a sleeper room for the overnight train ride. The train was supposed to depart from Amsterdam Central but goondu us thought it was Rotterdam Central ( which is our home base because D’s office is there and we have an apartment there). We though we were “f**ked”. We went to the treinplanner at Rotterdam Central and asked for any train rides available to Prague. Well you see we booked our air ticket back from Prague and hotels etc. So we have to get there.

The treinplanner suggest that we go to Utrecht (Netherlands) which is near the border of Germany to hop on to a train which was scheduled to leave by 9pm. So we run to the spoor ( platform ) and hopefully we can catch on the train which goes to Prague. Well…worst Deja Vu ever , the train we booked was delayed for 30 mins and the train that was supposedly to head to Prague at 9pm was our train ! ( Our train departs from Amsterdam and stops at Utrecht to pick up other passengers before heading to Prague ). DAMN ! Our train from Rotterdam arrives at Utrecht at 8.59pm and we missed our train ! Super devastated. But then a very kind treinplanner in Utrecht told us not to give up and we can get definitely to Prague. But firstly , we need to go to Germany and from there we travel from town to town by train to get to Prague. Which means we need to cross Netherlands to get to Germany. And to get to a big city in Germany so that we can find trains to cross over Germany to Prague. The treinplanner worked out a plan for us. Which is to get to Cologne in Germany and from there , we can take a train to Nurnberg and from Nurnberg we take a bus to Prague.

Oh well , we did that. So we crossed the whole of Germany from Netherlands via train and bus to get to Prague , Czech Republic.
Damn lucky , we got the last bus seats to Prague.

Rotterdam , Netherlands -> Utrecht , Netherlands -> Cologne , Germany ->Nurnberg , Germany -> Prague , Czech Republic.

Best of all , we went to Prague without any Korunas ( Czech Republic currency ). Fortunately , there are many citibank ATMs in Prague. It is better to withdraw from ATM than to exchange in Europe because some money changers charge commissions up to 2% (even though they mentioned 0% , but they already included in the rate they gave you ) .

Well this was a picture taken from our bus ride to Prague from Nurnberg , Germany

Finally we arrived in Prague at 12pm. 2 hours later from our scheduled time if we were to take our train from Amsterdam Central station. But better than nothing. We didn’t sleep the whole night because we have to keep changing trains and rush to buy our tickets except for the 4 hours wait in Cologne because the train to Nurnberg departs at 4am but we arrived in Cologne at 12am midnight. Practically we took 18 hours to get to Prague from Rotterdam Central via trains and a bus.

Our hotel’s location is really great. It is located at old town and just right near this clock tower and city center. Just 2 minutes walk. The price of the hotel is not expensive too and it comes with breakfast for 2. Service was great.

Everyone was waiting for the clock to strike every hour. See how crowded Prague is ? Super crowded so beware of pick pockets.

Though Prague was very crowded , the architectures are really really nice.

The streets and pavements are beautiful.

I love the streets.

Please wear a comfy pair of sport shoes because you have to walk ALOT ! Saw a girl wearing heels and her heels were like slanted because of the pavements. If you want to take OOTD , bring your heels to change just for that photo will do. If not your legs gonna hurt real bad. I bought this pair from Netherlands and i love it. Saw everyone in Netherlands wearing black trainers and i thought it looks good so i went to try and i have to get it ( since my old shoes spoilt and the soles came off ).  I love this black classic NIKE trainers. Love the sport shops in Rotterdam especially the ones at Footlocker ( a shop which you can find in many European cities and they have a huge selection of sport wears and sport shoes.). They have hundreds of designs esp NIKE ones. The designs are soo nice !!! I don’t know why but i can’t seem to find nice trainers in SG. The colours are not that striking or nice.

Simply love the streets. Very nice photo spot.

It was raining on that day and weather was cool. Abit cold at times but a rider jacket can keep you warm. Im a big fan of rider jackets. Got like so many of them. I buy them when i travel to HK, Korea and China because they are cheap and nice.

Food was cheap and good.

But the service was really erm…RUDE. Not the bad service you expect but the super RUDE service. They just fold their arms infront of you and tell you in an irritated tone ” There is no food. Just drinks ” and if you asked ” No food ? ” ( like how can a restaurant say NO FOOD at 4pm ????!! ) and they just fold their arms and tell you ” Yah NO FOOD “.  And saw how they tell off other Caucasian tourists that too in a rude manner.
The best lunch we had was at Hotel U Prince which is right infront of clock tower.

These 2 dishes costs us about EUR 35 (with beer and ice tea )

This BBQ pork knuckle is yummy but super expensive because they count and serve by weight.

This portion costs EUR 60.

Was shocked when D told me he paid EUR 60 for that. But you gotta try it in Czech because it is a traditional food.

This potato was really damn nice and chewy.

You should take a walk at their markets. You can get pretty souvenirs , food and fruits.

I love Prague because of the architectures and food. If i were to compare Prague and Ghent , i definitely prefer Ghent because not alot of Asian tourists know about this place. Infact you hardly see any and the architectures are soo pretty like you are in a fairytale story with Chateaus , castles and old fortresses.
